WEST SACRAMENTO, CA – A driver was killed early Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash near Highway 50 and Interstate 80, heading west toward Davis.
The collision happened around 3:30 a.m. near Enterprise Boulevard, when a pickup truck struck a crash cushion in a construction zone. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver died at the scene.
No other injuries were reported. Construction workers were present but located in a different section of the freeway.
Traffic in the area was slow during the early morning commute, but all lanes have since reopened. Drivers may still experience minor delays.
