39-year-old Robert Michael Pineschi Jr. was killed after a crash involving multiple vehicles that took place near 16th Street and E Street in Sacramento Sunday evening.
Officers reported to the scene at around 7 p.m. after receiving reports of a three-vehicle collision. Surveillance video footage in the area depicts an SUV driving north and running a red light when a silver car going east crashed into the SUV, causing the vehicle to lose control and strike the driver’s side of another car making a right turn.
Pineschi, though it is unsure which vehicle he occupied as of this writing, was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries and was pronounced dead an hour later.
There were no other significant injuries reported.
