Multiple individuals were left with injuries after a fight escalated into a violent stabbing altercation involving a box cutter that took place at a house party at the 13000 block of Maywood Street in Victorville Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the scene at about 2:51 a.m. after receiving reports of a stabbing at a party. Upon arrival, they found two people with multiple box cutter injuries, while other victims had already been taken to the hospital.
Thirty-four-year-old Angelica Riojas was found to be the perpetrator. A written statement from the Victorville Police Department says that Riojas arrived at the party to pick up her brother when she was approached by a woman, initiating the fight.
Several people reportedly followed Riojas to her car and threw punches and attacks, until she retrieved a box cutter from the vehicle and started injuring everyone. Riojas fled the scene before officers arrived but was eventually contacted by the hospital.
She was later arrested on charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
