DoorDash executive Joshua Pickles, along with his parents, 73-year-old Terry Pickles and 71-year-old Paula Bozinovich, were all identified among the deceased from the Lake Tahoe boating accident that took place over the weekend.
On June 21, 2025, ten people were aboard an eight-meter Chris-Craft powerboat that capsized during a terrible storm. Eight died, two were rescued. The status and names of the rescued individuals are unknown as of this writing.
Aside from the Pickles family, the other victims were later identified to be 72-year-old Peter Bayes, 71-year-old Timothy O’Leary, 66-year-old Theresa Giullari, 69-year-old James Guck,
and 63-year-old Stephen Lindsay. The group was reportedly celebrating Bozinovich’s birthday. Friends and family mourned the death of their loved ones via multiple social media posts.
“The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office extends its deepest heartfelt condolences to the families of those who were lost and all those who have been affected by this tragic event,” said the police in a statement on Facebook.
