32-year-old motorcyclist Anthony Balsamo was killed in a crash involving a suspected DUI driver at the Trabuco Road and Via Victoria intersection in Mission Viejo Tuesday evening.
The crash happened at about 8:22 p.m., where Balsamo was later discovered lying on the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
During the investigation, officers eventually arrested 62-year-old Deborah Webb on suspicion of driving under the influence. She was booked into the Orange County Jail for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is conducting an ongoing investigation into the fatal collision.
