Three suspects were killed and two others injured early Wednesday morning after a high-speed police pursuit ended in a crash near the 5 Freeway in Anaheim.
The crash occurred around 3:25 a.m. near Brookhurst Street. Orange County officers had been pursuing a vehicle carrying five suspects allegedly involved in a car burglary moments earlier. The pursuit ended when the suspects’ vehicle crashed near the freeway.
Three occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. The two surviving suspects were transported to a local hospital — one in stable condition and the other in critical condition.
A SigAlert was issued shortly before 4:45 a.m., and traffic in the area was impacted for several hours.
The identities of the deceased have not been released, and the incident is still under investigation.
