
A 36-year-old man was killed in a wrong-way collision on Highway 87 early Monday morning that led to the arrest of a suspected DUI driver.
The crash happened around 2:20 a.m. when a 2017 Dodge Durango traveling in the wrong direction collided with a Nissan Altima. The Altima struck the center divider while attempting to avoid the oncoming SUV.
Multiple occupants from both vehicles were hospitalized. The 36-year-old passenger later died from his injuries. The drivers of both vehicles suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the Durango, a 24-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The crash remains under investigation.
