Three people were hospitalized with serious injuries Thursday morning following a head-on collision involving three vehicles on Highway 180.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Nissan traveling eastbound attempted to pass slower-moving traffic when it collided head-on with a westbound Chevrolet pickup. The force of the crash caused both vehicles to slam into a nearby SUV.
All three drivers sustained major injuries and were transported to a local hospital. Officials said all victims were in stable condition and expected to survive.
