Two motorcyclists, a 61-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman, were both left dead following a crash with a Tesla that took place on Highway 9 in the Santa Cruz Mountains west of Saratoga Saturday afternoon.
The fatal incident happened at about 4:45 p.m., the two were riding in their 2008 Harley Davidson travelling west when they crashed head-on into a white 2018 Tesla Model 3 that had an 18-year-old driver.
The two vehicles slammed head-on, ejecting both motorcyclists from the vehicle and onto the roadway. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Tesla meanwhile was not injured.
The identities of the victims are yet to be released from the coroner’s office.
