An 11-year-old girl was killed in a rollover crash involving three vehicles on Interstate 15 near Glen Helen Parkway in Fontana early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 6:49 a.m. when a white Ford Expedition traveling northbound in the No. 2 lane suddenly veered to the left, struck a concrete divider, and overturned. The SUV was carrying six people at the time.
The young girl was pronounced dead at the scene. The five other occupants of the Ford were hospitalized with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Two additional vehicles—a white Tesla Model 3 and a black Maserati Grecale—were traveling southbound and became involved in the aftermath of the crash. Fortunately, none of the occupants in those vehicles were injured.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the deceased child. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
