ADELANTO, CA (November 3, 2024) – A three-vehicle collision in Adelanto on Halloween afternoon left one person dead, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies responded to reports of a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 395 and Auburn Avenue around 1:38 p.m., where a Chevrolet Blazer and Volkswagen Golf collided, causing the Blazer to strike a semi-truck head-on.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the driver of the Chevrolet Blazer, traveling southbound on Highway 395, merged into the lane of a Volkswagen Golf, sideswiping the vehicle. The impact forced both vehicles into the northbound lanes, where the Blazer collided with the semi-truck. The driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the scene; their identity is being withheld pending family notification.
