ANTELOPE VALLEY, CA (October 28, 2024) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a Metrolink train on Saturday evening in the Antelope Valley, causing substantial delays and impacting passengers. The incident occurred between Lancaster and Palmdale stations at approximately 6:22 p.m., trapping about 70 passengers on board for over an hour and a half.
The crash site was initially considered too dangerous for passengers to disembark. Metrolink was unable to provide bus transfers to Palmdale due to the timing of the accident. Instead, affected passengers were offered $50 rideshare vouchers to reach their destinations.
