STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (October 18, 2024) – A woman died following a crash on Highway 132 in Stanislaus County, California, on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The incident happened around 3 p.m. east of Crabtree Road near Waterford.
Officials reported that the woman lost control of her vehicle, which then swerved and rotated counterclockwise into the opposite lane, resulting in a collision with a pickup truck. The woman was transported to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The occupants of the pickup truck sustained minor injuries and were treated. CHP confirmed that all individuals involved were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
The section of the highway where the Stanislaus County highway collision occurred was temporarily closed as authorities conducted an investigation, which included determining whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
