NORCO, CA (March 24, 2024) — A shocking incident has left the Norco community calling for justice after 65-year-old Wendy Hamilton was assaulted following a traffic dispute in a quiet, rural neighborhood. The altercation, which resulted in Hamilton sustaining significant injuries, has sparked a conversation about road safety and community values.

On a day like any other, Hamilton found herself in the midst of a frightening situation when she attempted to intervene in a speeding incident outside her home. Surveillance and cellphone videos from approximately two weeks ago captured the escalation, which began when Hamilton’s neighbor asked the speeding driver to slow down, considering children were playing nearby.

The driver, identified as a man from Downey, reacted aggressively, engaging in a physical confrontation first with Hamilton’s neighbor and then with Hamilton herself. The dispute over Hamilton’s attempt to photograph the driver’s license plate led to her being punched, falling, and striking her head on the pavement.
