Pedestrian Airlifted After Being Hit by SUV in Hesperia
SANTA ANA, CA (April 28, 2024) — A devastating incident occurred on Peach Avenue in Hesperia on Saturday evening when a pedestrian was struck by an SUV. The accident happened at approximately 7:07 PM between Sycamore and Manzanita Streets.
San Bernardino County Fire Department responded promptly to the scene, finding the injured pedestrian in the northbound lane. Due to the severity of the injuries, a helicopter was called to transport the victim to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center after initial stabilization at Desert Valley Hospital.
The vehicle involved, a white Volkswagen SUV, showed significant damage to the driver’s side headlight and hood. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the ongoing investigation by local authorities.
