Pico Union Crash Involves Two Cars in Collision 15 Mins Apart

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 29, 2024) — Two cars slammed into separate buildings in the Los Angeles’s Pico Union neighborhood on Saturday evening, with the incidents occurring less than 15 minutes apart, authorities said.
The first crash took place around 7:40 p.m. in the 1500 block of Venice Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. A two-car collision sent one vehicle into a business identified as Central De Envios, a shipping company. One person was hospitalized, and two others were assessed by paramedics at the scene. The cause of the Pico Union crash is under investigation, and crews worked to remove the car from the building.
Approximately 12 minutes later, emergency responders were dispatched to the 2400 block of Pico Boulevard for a similar incident. Another two-car collision resulted in one vehicle crashing into what appeared to be an auto repair shop.
The second car involved caught fire, but firefighters quickly extinguished the flames. No injuries were reported in this crash. Authorities have not indicated whether the two incidents are connected.
