10-Year-Old Girl Hit By Car in Allied Gardens
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 11, 2024) — A 10-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle while crossing a street in the Allied Gardens neighborhood of San Diego on Friday evening.
The accident happened at approximately 5:05 p.m. on 6700 Glenroy Street, as confirmed by the San Diego Police Department.
A 51-year-old woman, driving a gray Chevy Suburban southbound, struck the child as she ran across the road. Emergency services promptly responded, and the young girl was transported to a local hospital. She is currently being treated for an open fracture to her left ankle and several abrasions.
