FedEx Truck Crash on Lake Natoma Bridge Injures Several
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 8, 2024) — A serious collision involving a FedEx truck and four other vehicles occurred on the Lake Natoma Crossing bridge in Folsom, Sacramento County, on Sunday afternoon, leaving several people, including two children, hospitalized.
The FedEx truck crash happened at approximately 12:15 p.m. when the FedEx truck, initially traveling southbound, veered into the northbound lanes, causing a head-on collision between Greenback Lane and Leidesdorff Street.
Folsom Fire Department Battalion Chief Bill Woodward reported that eight individuals were involved in the crash, with injuries ranging from minor to moderate.
Among those transported to UC Davis and Sutter Roseville hospitals were a 7-year-old boy, a 5-year-old girl, and the 32-year-old driver of the FedEx truck. The collision also involved three SUVs and a pickup truck pulling a trailer, though the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
