Pedestrian Critically Injured in Victorville Collision
VICTORVILLE, CA (September 28, 2024) — A male pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a car on Saturday morning in Victorville, leading to the closure of a section of Palmdale Road. The Victorville pedestrian crash occurred around 8 a.m. near the intersection of Palmdale Road and Cahuenga Road, involving a white four-door sedan that sustained major front-end damage.
Witnesses reported that the pedestrian was trapped beneath the vehicle in front of a Hyundai dealership. Firefighters from the Victorville City Fire Department responded swiftly and required extrication equipment to free the man. A medical helicopter was initially requested but was later canceled. The pedestrian was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with CPR in progress. His current condition is unknown.
Eastbound lanes of Palmdale Road have been shut down at Del Gado Road, and traffic is being detoured as authorities investigate the scene. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid delays.
