LOS ANGELES, CA (July 17, 2024) — The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking assistance from the public to identify a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run in Exposition Park. The incident occurred on June 19 at approximately 11:10 p.m. at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Budlong Avenue.
A dark-colored SUV struck a pedestrian who was in the middle of the road and fled eastbound on MLK Boulevard towards S. Walton Avenue without stopping. The victim, still unidentified, was taken to a nearby hospital where they later died from their injuries.
A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect. The LAPD has released video footage of the Exposition Park hit-and-run on their YouTube channel and urges anyone with information to come forward.
