Antelope Crash Involving Five Vehicles Sends Four to Hospital
SACRAMENTO, CA (July 14, 2024) — Four people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash in Antelope on Saturday afternoon, according to Sacramento Metro Fire officials.
The Antelope crash happened at around 3:16 p.m. at Daly Avenue and Roseville Road, involving five cars. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a white Silverado, towing a fully loaded trailer, was traveling westbound on Antelope Road near Roseville Road when an elderly man driving a Toyota SUV made an unsafe turn from southbound Roseville Road to westbound Antelope Road.
The Silverado collided with the Toyota SUV, causing a chain reaction that involved a white Toyota, a white Miata, and a Toyota Corolla. The impact sent the Silverado into the wrong lane, where it struck a red Tacoma head-on, which then pushed into a Tundra that subsequently hit an Explorer.
The driver of the Tacoma was extricated and taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. Three other individuals sustained minor injuries and were also transported to the hospital.
