California Truck Driver Injured in Interstate 40 Accident

CALIFORNIA (July 3, 2024) — A truck driver from California was injured early Sunday morning in a crash on Interstate 40 in Custer County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that the accident happened around 1:30 a.m. near mile marker 82 in the westbound lanes. Joga Singh, 26, from Bakersfield, California, was driving a 2022 Freightliner when he veered off the road for unknown reasons, causing the truck to tip over onto its driver’s side.
The California truck driver injured was transported to Weatherford Regional Hospital, where he is in stable condition with head and arm injuries. The passenger in the truck was not injured.
