LAPD Seeks Leads in Hit-and-Run That Left Bicyclist Critically Injured
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 17, 2024) — Los Angeles police are calling for public assistance to locate the driver responsible for a hit-and-run incident that severely injured a 63-year-old bicyclist in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood earlier this month.
The collision reportedly happened just before 10:30 p.m. on September 2, when the man was struck by a sedan on Hoover Street near 79th Street as he attempted to rise after falling.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the sedan did not stop to render aid and continued northbound on Hoover Street. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains under medical care.
