Redding Woman Arrested for DUI with Children in Car [Redding, CA]
REDDING, CA (June 17, 2024) — A Northern California woman was arrested after police found her unconscious at a stop sign with her car running and her three daughters in the backseat.
The Redding Police Department reported that the 35-year-old woman faces three counts of felony child endangerment and driving under the influence of alcohol. She is currently booked into the Shasta County Jail.
On Tuesday at around 3:45 p.m., police received reports of an unconscious driver at the intersection of Creekside Street and Sacramento Drive. Upon arrival, officers found the woman still unconscious in the driver’s seat and her three young daughters in the backseat.
Tests revealed the blood alcohol level of the Redding woman arrested for DUI was four times over the legal limit, confirming she was extremely intoxicated.
