Fiery Midnight Crash Claims One Life Near Shannon Parkway
VISALIA, CA (April 10, 2024) — A catastrophic early morning crash in Visalia has resulted in one fatality, according to local police. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday near the intersection of Shannon Parkway and Mendonca Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle that had crashed into a tree and was engulfed in flames. Police, along with quick-acting bystanders, used fire extinguishers to combat the blaze until firefighters could take over.
Despite the immediate rescue efforts, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The Visalia Police Department’s Traffic Unit is now leading an investigation into the cause of the crash.
