Bicyclist Arrested in Sierra Madre Pedestrian Hit-and-Run
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 8, 2024) — A Los Angeles man, John Gabriel, 49, has been arrested following a meticulous two-month investigation into a hit-and-run incident that seriously injured a pedestrian in Sierra Madre, authorities reported.
The February 3 collision occurred near the intersection of North Baldwin and Montecito Avenues shortly after 10 a.m., leaving the pedestrian with grave injuries.
Sierra Madre Police, utilizing what they described as “pertinent evidence” found in Gabriel’s home and a local storage unit, executed an arrest warrant. Gabriel has been charged with felony hit-and-run and is currently held at the Pasadena Police Department jail. Charges are pending from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
