Firearms Seized After Middle School Threat in Riverside County
RIVERSIDE, CA (April 6, 2024) — In Riverside County, a disturbing discovery was made at a Jurupa Valley home following threats of violence sent by a 12-year-old Jurupa Middle School student.
Authorities seized multiple firearms, including three assault rifles, a handgun, and several hundred rounds of ammunition. The discovery was made after deputies responded to a threat reported at the school at around 3:20 p.m. on Thursday.
The juvenile was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats. Additionally, 42-year-old Rolando Sida Sr. was taken into custody under suspicion of possessing assault weapons, failing to secure firearms away from a minor, and child endangerment.
