Fairfield Woman Arrested for Manslaughter in 6th Grader’s Death
FAIRFIELD, CA (May 18, 2024) — Fairfield police have arrested Elena Lindsey McGraw-Ogans, 32, for vehicular manslaughter over a year after she fatally struck an 11-year-old girl.
The incident occurred on March 23, 2023, when the young student was walking in a crosswalk near Grange Middle School.
The sixth grader was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries. On the day of the crash, McGraw-Ogans was initially arrested for DUI and child endangerment, as children were in her car. She was later released while the investigation continued.
Authorities have now charged Elena McGraw-Ogans with vehicular manslaughter, leading to her arrest on Thursday.
