Drivers Arrested for DUI After Crashes Knock Out Power [Rancho Cordova, CA]
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (June 4, 2024) — Two drivers were taken into custody on suspicion of DUI after multiple crashes occurred overnight in Rancho Cordova, as reported by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
The incidents happened early Monday morning when one vehicle crashed into an electrical pole near Ananda Lane and Coloma Road. Shortly after, a second vehicle collided with the already damaged vehicle.
Deputies arrested both drivers on suspicion of driving under the influence. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The Rancho Cordova DUI crash resulted in a power outage, leaving about 250 SMUD customers without electricity.
