Yucaipa Teens Hospitalized After Mob Attack

SAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 15, 2024) — Two teenagers are recuperating in hospital after a brutal attack by a mob of youths in Yucaipa, San Bernardino County. The incident occurred on May 3 near Center Park, a local hangout spot.
Authorities say the victims, both teens, were walking past the park when they were ambushed by a group of 10-15 adolescents. A fierce brawl ensued, during which the two were repeatedly stabbed and beaten. One of the victims also suffered severe head trauma after being stomped on by a female member of the group.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to an emergency call at a nearby gas station around 10:30 p.m., where they found one of the victims with multiple injuries. The second victim had independently sought treatment at a hospital.
Investigative efforts led to the discovery of video footage capturing the assault. Two primary suspects have been identified: 18-year-old Kessler Pelfrey and a 15-year-old male. Both have been arrested and are facing charges related to the attack.
The investigation into the Yucaipa mob attack is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with additional information to come forward.
