Man Killed in Canyon Country Crash Involving Trash Truck

SANTA CLARITA, CA (August 12, 2024) — A man in his 30s was killed Friday morning in a collision involving a car and a trash truck in the Canyon Country area, east of Santa Clarita. The crash happened around 8 a.m. in the 17900 block of Soledad Canyon Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Firefighters used the “Jaws of Life” to extricate the trapped driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released. Another person was reportedly injured, though their condition and involvement in the crash remain unclear. The circumstances of the Canyon County crash are still under investigation.
