Motorcycle Rider Killed in 405 Freeway Collision in North Hills
NORTH HILLS, CA (August 5, 2024) — A motorcycle rider died early Friday after being struck by a dark sedan on the 405 Freeway in North Hills.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the incident at 2:11 a.m. on the northbound freeway near Nordhoff Street. They found the motorcyclist and the sedan in the middle lanes, according to CHP Officer Elizabeth Kravig.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the motorcyclist as 30-year-old Raymond Cody Gomez of Lancaster.
A SigAlert was issued, closing all northbound lanes for several hours while authorities investigated the motorcycle collision in North Hills.
