Woman Killed in Baldwin Hills Hit-and-Run, Driver At Large
BALDWIN HILLS, CA (July 24, 2024) — A woman was fatally struck by a car while crossing La Cienega Boulevard near Obama Boulevard in Baldwin Hills early Wednesday morning.
Yvonne Parks, 40, was crossing the street with her boyfriend at approximately 1:30 a.m. when a dark-colored Toyota Camry hit her and fled the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Video footage of the Baldwin Heights hit-and-run reportedly showed Parks’ boyfriend mourning beside her body. Police are examining debris from the Camry and seeking surveillance footage or witnesses to aid in the investigation. As of 10:45 a.m., no arrests have been made, according to the LAPD.
