Police in Koreatown are asking the public to help identify the driver involved in a hit-and-run crash on March 1 that left a pedestrian in critical condition.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at the intersection of Western Avenue and 1st Street when a gray sedan traveling southbound struck a pedestrian who was crossing in a marked crosswalk while the traffic light was green for vehicles.
Surveillance footage captured the moment of impact, and officers say the sedan immediately fled the scene without stopping to offer assistance.
The injured pedestrian, identified only as a San Pedro resident, was transported to a local hospital, where his condition remains critical.
Authorities have offered a reward of up to $25,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the driver in the Koreatown hit-and-run.
