Authorities report that a fatal collision on Highway 395 happened Tuesday night near Luna Road in Victorville.
At approximately 8:56 p.m., an adult male bicyclist was struck while riding across the highway. Emergency crews arrived to find the severely damaged bicycle and the victim’s body, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A silver 1996 Honda Odyssey, exhibiting significant front-end damage and flashing emergency lights, was present at the scene. The driver remained on site and cooperated fully with investigators.
As a result, all northbound lanes of Highway 395 were temporarily closed for further investigation. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family members.
Authorities are continuing to probe the circumstances surrounding the bike crash on Highway 395.
