Two siblings, 23-year-old Jacquelyn Perez and 21-year-old Joseph Perez, died in a high-speed collision on the 60 Freeway in Chino on April 7, 2025, while returning home from visiting their mother in Riverside.
Authorities report that Jacquelyn was driving a sedan when she lost control near the Ramona Avenue onramp and struck the freeway’s center divider, sending the vehicle into an embankment.
Both Jacquelyn and Joseph, who was riding in the same vehicle, were fatally injured; Joseph was ejected from the car. Also in the vehicle were Joseph’s pregnant girlfriend and their 8‑month‑old daughter, Nicole. The infant was found unharmed beneath the wreckage, while the girlfriend sustained critical injuries and was hospitalized.
Los Angeles County Fire Department and CHP investigators are reviewing crash scene evidence, including video footage that shows the vehicle was totaled.
The community has come together to honor the victims with a memorial and to support their grieving family. A GoFundMe page has been set up.
