A female driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the intersection of Hosking Avenue and Hughes Lane in West Bakersfield early Wednesday morning.
The accident happened at about 3 a.m., when the female driver behind a Buick Roadmaster ran a red light in front of another vehicle, ultimately causing the collision.
The Roadmaster driver was rushed to the hospital with major injuries and was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the other vehicle meanwhile remained unharmed and cooperated with law enforcement on the scene.
