A man was killed in an apparent hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning in downtown Sacramento.
City police said the incident happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of 16th and B Streets. Officers responded to reports of a collision and found an unresponsive adult male at the scene. Despite emergency medical efforts, the man was pronounced dead.
Authorities say the vehicle involved fled the scene before officers arrived. No suspect or vehicle description has been released, and police are continuing to investigate the incident.
The victim’s identity has not yet been made public pending family notification. Investigators are urging anyone with information or surveillance footage to come forward.
