A man and his three children were left with life-threatening injuries following a crash that took place near West 3rd Street and Arboleda Drive in Santa Rose Monday afternoon.
The incident would happen at about 2:30 p.m. A red 2002 Honda Odyssey minivan was making its way going east when he moved to the right lane.
As that was occurring, a white 2019 Ford Ranger in the same lane began merging left, and as it merged, the minivan hit the rear of the truck, causing the minivan to strike two trees.
The minivan held four passengers, a 44-year-old man and his three boys, a 12-year-old, an 11-year-old, and a 5-year-old. All of them sustained major injuries, with the father in critical condition.
It is being investigated whether or not the minivan driver was impaired due to a medical condition.
