Authorities have released surveillance footage of a violent hit-and-run collision that left a 60-year-old bicyclist seriously injured in the Pico-Union neighborhood.
The incident occurred on May 28 at the intersection of Hoover Street. Video shows the victim riding through the intersection when a white sedan slammed into him, launching the bicyclist into the air before the vehicle fled the scene without stopping.
The victim sustained major injuries and was hospitalized. As of Thursday, police continue to search for the driver involved. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to the suspect’s identification.
