A man was arrested after allegedly ramming his vehicle into a post office in San Jose, triggering a fire early Sunday morning.
Authorities say 44-year-old Richard Tillman drove his car into the Almaden Valley Station Post Office, located at a strip mall south of downtown, around 3 a.m. The impact caused a fire that engulfed the one-story building.
Firefighters and police quickly responded to the scene and extinguished the blaze. No injuries were reported.
Tillman was arrested and booked on charges of arson. He is being held on $60,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday. While the crash is believed to be an intentional act, investigators have not identified a motive.
The incident is still being investigated.
