A Delta Air Lines co-pilot was arrested Saturday at San Francisco International Airport on multiple counts of child sex crimes.
Rustom Bhagwagar, 34, was taken into custody aboard Flight 2809 from Minneapolis before passengers had deplaned. The arrest followed a months-long investigation launched in April.
Bhagwagar was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility and is being held on $5 million bail. He faces five felony counts of oral copulation with a child under the age of 10.
A spokesperson for Delta Air Lines condemned the alleged conduct, saying the airline has zero tolerance for unlawful behavior and that Bhagwagar is no longer employed.
