Ford Motor Company has issued a recall of 355,656 trucks in the United States after discovering a defect in the digital dashboard, which may go blank and fail to display critical information such as speed, warning indicators, and safety lights, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Ford Recall: Affected Models
The recall, reported to NHTSA on August 22, 2025, includes the following 2025 and 2026 models:
- Ford F-150 (2025)
- Ford F-250 Super Duty (2025–2026)
- Ford F-350 Super Duty (2025–2026)
- Ford F-450 Super Duty (2025–2026)
- Ford F-550 Super Duty (2025–2026)
Safety Risk
The issue can cause the instrument panel to go completely blank, preventing drivers from seeing critical data while driving. This defect increases the risk of crashes, although Ford confirmed that no accidents or injuries have been reported so far.
What Truck Owners Should Do
Ford will fix the problem through a software update, available both at dealerships and via over-the-air (OTA) updates.
