VENTURA COUNTY, CA – One person died following a multi-vehicle crash in Saticoy, on Highway 118.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident occurred around 6:00 a.m. near Wells Road, just west of Vineyard Avenue. The crash involved a gray Honda Accord and a silver Chevrolet. Reports indicate the Honda sustained severe damage.
Paramedics performed CPR on one of the victims, but authorities later confirmed the individual had died. It was not immediately clear if the victim passed away at the scene or after being transported to a hospital. The person’s identity has not yet been released pending notification of family.
During the investigation, one lane in both directions of Highway 118 was temporarily closed.
The CHP Ventura office is continuing to investigate the cause of the fatal crash.
