
BAKERSFIELD, CA — A man was critically injured Sunday morning following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Hageman Road and Fruitvale Avenue, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
Authorities reported that a Mazda Miata and a Mitsubishi Outlander were involved in the crash, which remains under investigation.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported several people to a local hospital. The driver of the Miata sustained minor injuries, while the female driver of the Outlander and a juvenile passenger were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
However, a male passenger in the Outlander was taken to the hospital in critical condition due to the severity of his injuries, police said.
Investigators believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, though the case remains under investigation.
