LOS ANGELES, CA — One person was killed on Monday night, October 20, 2025, in a tragic pedestrian accident on the 110 Freeway near West 23rd Street, according to reports from the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The incident occurred around 11:21 p.m., when a pedestrian who was inside a vehicle traveling southbound on I-110 apparently jumped or fell from the car and was struck by multiple vehicles on the roadway.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. As a result, all southbound lanes of the freeway were closed for approximately two hours while investigators conducted the on-site investigation.
So far, no additional details have been released about the victim’s identity or the exact circumstances of the incident.
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal crash.
