RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA – A motorcyclist suspected of shooting a sheriff in Rancho Cucamonga was taken into custody after colliding with a car on the 210 Freeway in San Bernardino County. The pursuit began just before 1:30 p.m., near the area where the suspect was reportedly barricaded inside a home.
The crash in Rancho Cucamonga occurred on the eastbound side of the freeway near exit 56 in Ontario.
The extent of injuries to the sheriff or the suspect has not been released. Witnesses saw the suspect sitting with a neck brace before being loaded onto a stretcher and airlifted to a hospital.
