MALIBU, CA — A woman was seriously injured on the morning of November 2 after her vehicle plunged down a steep canyon in Malibu Canyon, authorities reported.
The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m., prompting a large emergency response from multiple agencies, including the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD), Malibu Search and Rescue, the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD), McCormick Ambulance, and California State Park Rangers.
Rescuers found a woman in her 30s as the sole occupant of the vehicle. After a challenging extraction, she was airlifted by Copter 21 to a nearby trauma center for emergency medical care.At this time, no further details about her condition have been released.
