
HEMET, CA — A serious Hemet crash left four people hospitalized when a car slammed into a home in the Valle Vista area on Sunday afternoon.
The collision occurred around 3:15 p.m. in the 44000 block of Lately Circle, when a vehicle—under still-unknown circumstances—lost control and slammed directly into a residence, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
One resident became trapped inside the structure, requiring firefighters to perform an emergency rescue. In total, four people were injured—one from the vehicle and three inside the home—and were transported to the hospital with moderate to minor injuries.
The home sustained significant structural damage, leaving seven people displaced. The Red Cross was requested to assist with shelter and immediate aid for those affected.
Authorities report that the cause of the crash remains under investigation, with possible factors such as driver error or mechanical failure not ruled out.
