LOS ANGELES, CA — Two people were hospitalized early Wednesday morning after crashing into a commercial building in the Central-Alameda neighborhood of South Los Angeles.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), crews responded at 4:08 a.m. to 1774 E. 21st St., near South Alameda Street. Firefighters rescued both victims from the wreckage, LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.
The victims’ identities and conditions have not yet been confirmed. Both were transported to a local hospital.
Officials also contacted the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety to assess the structural damage caused by the impact.
